Built for the businesses the software industry keeps forgetting.
AI Business in a Box is a product company. We build operating systems for small businesses — practical, documented, versioned — and we build them from Nairobi for owners everywhere.
It started with a spreadsheet and a WhatsApp inbox.
The first version of what became this platform wasn't software at all. It was a document written for a handful of Nairobi shop owners who were losing sales in their own WhatsApp threads — not because they lacked hustle, but because nobody had ever handed them a script for the moment a customer asks the price.
That document worked. It kept getting passed around, and it kept coming back with the same request: can you do this for objections? For follow-up? For proposals? Each answer was another system, and eventually the systems needed a home — somewhere they could be searched, updated, versioned and trusted.
So we built the platform we wished existed: licenses instead of passwords, an interactive library instead of a PDF you lose, and a public roadmap so customers can see what's coming rather than hoping.
Our Vision
A generation of small businesses that operate with the same leverage as large ones — because the systems that used to cost a consultancy fee now cost the price of a book.
Our Mission
Package hard-won operating knowledge into products an owner can apply the same afternoon they buy them, and keep improving those products for as long as people use them.
Our Promise
No fake urgency, no invented reviews, no subscription you didn't ask for. Clear pricing, permanent access to what you buy, and updates included.
AI should give an owner leverage, not replace their judgement.
Nobody knows a business like the person running it. What most owners lack isn't insight — it's time, structure and a second pair of hands at 9pm when the last enquiry of the day comes in.
Every product we ship is designed around that reality. The scripts carry the reasoning behind them so you can adapt rather than copy. The prompts are starting points you make your own. The assistant finds what you already own instead of inventing advice.
The result is an owner who moves faster and sounds more like themselves — not less.
The market is not underserved by accident.
Software built elsewhere assumes card-first checkout, desktop workflows and buyers who email. Across much of the continent, commerce happens on mobile, in chat, over voice notes, and often in two languages in the same conversation.
Those aren't limitations to design around — they're the actual operating environment, and they reward different systems. We build for that environment first, then find the approach travels well anywhere business is personal.
A boutique in Nairobi should have access to the same quality of operating system as a venture-backed team in San Francisco. That is the whole argument.
